Anyone fished south of IBP in 70-80 feet of water? If so, how is the ice. Any ATV's on it? Thanks in advance! X When i was out on Friday there was nobody there. South Simcoe FD had their air boat zipping around the ice out there. I can tell you the ice was cracking and pressure cracks were opening up all over IBP. I was in 30 feet of water on 4 inches of black with another two inches of white ice on top of that. That is why i was suggesting leaving toys home until this weekend. The ice still needs to tighten up. The deep water at IBP takes a long time to be safe.

Hey guys, where’s the closest motel/hotel around this area? There are several hotels in Barrie. Comfort Inn on Essa. Another on Bayfield. As far as motels I'm not too sure. Cooks Bay Marina is advertising rooms. Give them a call as well.

Hey Rob, what’s happening w ice conditions at IBP? Haven’t seen any posts for a while. The ice is still holding around 6 inches. The deep freeze today and Friday will tighten everything back up.

Just got back from the park. Started off real slow but then non stop action from about 10:00 until 3:00. Lots of little ones. Kept about 20 8 inches. 3 Jumbo's over 12 inches. Sitting on about 10 inches of ice in 40 feet of water. Easy walking out.

Sunday March 1. There is still 12 inches of good ice off of Innisfil Beach Park. Hard walking with the snow. I would recommend snow shoes if you have them. Caught 28 perch today in 42 feet of water. No whities or herring spotted.
