Thanks! Will probably only get 1 trip up to Simcoe w my grandson, so really appreciate the info on IBP - will be my choice to come to! As i said if you fish in the 40 foot depth area you will definitely find perch and if you are lucky a whitie or laker may cruise in. Thats around 300 yards out from the boat ramp. Good luck to you

Sir (and I do mean it with all the respect), it is awesome to see older folks like us teaching the young ones the "clean" fun times! My upmost respect to you Sir for making the effort and trying show the younger generation what real fun is all about. XF

I think I have more fun watching them catch something then when I do!!

Decided not to go out today. The temps did not drop below Zero last night and the ice is very sketchy now. Stay home people. Let the temps drop and tighten everything back up again. I will not recommend going out at IBP until temps drop below Zero for a couple of days. Mid week at the earliest. Please stay safe.

Jan 29, 2020. The double digit cold last night and tonight will tighten up the ice at the park. Looking good for walkers in the perch grounds there on the weekend. I would leave the deep water and toys for one more week. Ill report again tomorrow on the ice conditions and shoreline at the park.

Thanks for all of the reports I live on 9th and am relatively new I have never been able to find the perch in the park or nineth any help or a tip would be much appreciated Fish in 25 to 30 feet of water just off to the right of the boat ramp. Walk out about 250 yards. You should find them there. Gish about 6 to 12 inches off the bottom with live minnows or slab grabbers.

Thank you for the reports Robg!!! Its been tough getting info on IBP. Is there any snow on the Ice? thx again I was down this evening. Rough ice surface and slick. You will need cleats. Other then that it is good to go. Stay safe a still spud your way out. I walked out over half a km and the ice was solid. Spud sounded good. 4 to 5 inches of black ice and another two of pretty good ice on top of that.

Made it out fishing today at IBP. The walk out was very slippery. You will need cleats. I was in 32 feet of water. Caught 20, kept 12 for a meal. The ice is cracking and popping. A pressure crack is opening up 100 feet from the ramp. 4 inches of good ice under 2 inches of white ice. LEAVE THE TOYS HOME. The ice is still tightening up. Good for walkers but too many toys ripping around will not be good for the ice. It is still freezing and cracking.

Anyone fished south of IBP in 70-80 feet of water? If so, how is the ice. Any ATV's on it?
Thanks in advance!
