Peter, I read a post where you were thinking of doing guides in a pop up hut. If you do end up doing that give me a shout. I have no hut no auger no sled so watching all your videos after march 15 makes me hardcore jelous.

At this point im not sure how long will be on the ice for but as the warm weather shows up it will be more difficult to keep you safe out there as anything could happen . As soon as i detect uncertainty our season will be over . im not an expert but there will be negative repercussions for all the ice that's out there now , it will create damage in some forum , i suspect shore line property will be affected substantially this season . I feel the amount of ice out there now when it melts will brake up dew to a storm that will wash ice as thick as 20" thick landing on a shore line on Cook's Bay . wind will be the deciding factor on were the damage will result .

Peter, your March 25, 2014 video with the 2 guys and a bucket of jumbos: Is that the end of Gilford Rd. where you do your videos? And those 2 guys said they were by "the hump"? How do I get out to "the hump'? I might go out one last time this week and would like to catch something decent. Really appreciate if you can point me to some good grounds. I will be walking out with hand auger. Thanks for any tips on good spots.

The guys stopped at my house , it was almost 8pm , I can give you tips but it will have to be in person . What we show on video affects what goes on on the ice , that’s why you have to log in now . It seems now more guys are texting right from out on the ice to the board , i find that almost as kool as our LIVE broadcasts ..keep it up as i know members appreciate the updates.

Peter: i'll be coming up tomorrow with my 6 year old son. He has been talking about this non stop for a week. We will be up there around 9am. 2 questions 1. will the conditions be ok to drive out in the morning in your opinion (gilford rd)? 2. any insight of where to try? I don't care about catching the biggest perch in the world.. I just want my son to catch some fish and start the passion for fishing!
thanks for any help. I appreciate the effort you put into this board.. unfortunately its hard for me to find time to fish these days
