This time around our last ice reports will be interesting simply because what we have this season is unusual making things unpredictable . Anything at any time can happen out there regardless of how much ice we have .

I hope thats not one of our members. We are better than that. If I'm up in the next couple of days, I will help chip it out.

These folks leaving huts out and pallets and crap buried in the ice make us all look bad. Being a boater as well as an ice fisherman, I know full well the implications of driving your boat after the thaw and having to make dangerous sharp turns to avoid debris left by irresponsible users of the ice. I was upset at the tone in an article I read in the Topic this past weekend talking about huts on the ice and bad-mouthing users and all the debris (I pick up everything, including matchsticks when I'm out). Now I see, it's somewhat well-founded. I'm planning on coming out this weekend, maybe I could give you a hand Peter. So sad, so disheartening, but we'll need to stick together to keep the general public optimistic that most fishermen are responsible.

Very well said Dano. Hey Peter you`ve heard it from me and alot of other members many times over but I`ll say it again...... .....You are the best because I could hear the irritation in your voice but the restraint you showed taught me a thing or two about self control. Way to go man.

This sort of thing puts a black mark on all ice fisherman. It only furthers the hatred imposed by some of the locals. Come on people

As of yesterday afternoon, this mess has been cleaned up and removed from the bay . Dont worry about the rest of the junk out there , will keep an eye on it , when the ice releases its hold , it to will be removed and disposed of.

Happy Friday cbfb members. Dusting of snow last night will make the ice slippery but in great shape , the surface water will be gone and it will be a great day to hammer the big ones on the bay . you see me out there and want to contribute your report for the guys, wave me over...

Because of the fluctuation in temperature its just a matter of time until the shore line becomes precarious and unstable, meaning anything can happen at at time . Best to walk besides it's not far to the promised land....ice i mean .

Hmmm. Not happy to hear about the bad shoreline possibility. With the dumping of snow predicted tonight walking might be tough. Was looking forward to just flipping the 4x4 switch
