Good job ! Those are really nice carp. I really hope more ppl will enjoy eating carp. Imagine those shore fishermen start filling there white buckets with carp! The MNR may have a catch limit on them. ?

If yer in the water it's considered fishing.
Daylight hours only though.
Check your zone. Most allow white suckers/bowfin/carp. Here on Simcoe bowfin is not included.
If your fishing from shore check local bylaws. Where I fish it is considered a firearm and can not be shot on land.
And be safe. Very very safe.

Thanks for the invite , looks to me you and the wife have things under control ,keep the videos coming , how does the carp kings from Cooks Bay sound ? I've since mounted a GoPro on the bow and a 2nd in the boat. All I got yesterday was a bunch of missed shots. Will get some on video soon for Part2. Winds were crazy yesterday. We were catching monster air in the boat. Why do I always get the shotty nick names. Can't I have something cool like Pike Punisher?

Here's Part 2.
Camera on bow ran out of juice about a minute before this shot.
Nice little carp. 7.4lbs. Going on the dinner table.

this is the best thread on fishing this year. we should all target fish that are over populated and enjoy/eat the bounty.... Carp are cleaner to eat than whitefish and trout in terms of size according to the fish eating guide.... I may try to find some of the younger crap myself for a meal... Where to get the "smaller" ones ?? What I mean by smaller is like less than 3 feet.. All i've seen are river monsters.. At my age, It probably don't matter, but my young girls...

True that about them being very clean fish. Small ones are a tough find, and an even tougher shot! This was our smallest.

I haven't seen any giants pass by my place since the Carp Kings of Cooks Bay were here last. All smaller, tasty looking ones lately.
They are easily spooked too. Was on my dock a good couple minutes when one (<12lbs) got no closer than 10' before spotting me and turning back in the direction it came.
The shooting looks tough now by the catch in the part 2 vid. Excellent shot Casacrow!!! That looked like it was a long one.

I've been missing more than I've been hitting lately since they are now hanging out deeper. I'm only shooting 10-20% now. I was over 50%during the spawn. You are right Chugbug. Spawn is finishing up and they are alert again. Cooked er up tonight. Baked it whole. Delicious.

I was under the impression that it is illegal to target carp with the bow while moving the boat which includes trolling motor. Am I wrong in thinking that you have to be anchored to fish this way? I have thought to target them on a different lake and eat them.
Cheers
