I was able to get out on the bay yesterday morning, the weather was great. No wind and the water temperature on the East side of the bay was 69 in the morning. There was a large pack of boats shallow on the South East side. I decided to stay away from the pack as i had no luck up shallow this year so far. I found a grass/weed flat that ranged from 6 - 8 feet of water. I worked that area from 7- 11am and was able to land 3 pike and lost two that struck short right at the boat. I saw a few nice pike roaming around under the surface as well, which is great to see. Al things considered it was finally nice to have a decent pike outing on the bay.
