Hi everyone! I have been lurking on these forums for quite a while, so it's time I said 'Hello'.
Today was my first trip this year onto the ice, went out from the end of Gilford Rd. Saw Peter on my way to and from the lake - thanks again for all your hard work. I will try to remember to get you a coffee next time! Cheers

Hey guys. New member here but I have been using the board for a few years now. It's a great tool for anything I need to know about simcoe. I'm a year round fisherman weather it be boat shore or river. The best tasting fish in the pan by far is perch so thank god for cooks bay. Look forward to getting out and getting hooked.

Hi all. I stumbled on to this board looking for Simcoe ice conditions. This site seems to be a great resource. Thanks for all your contributions. I hope to see some of you out on the ice someday, just not this week.

Hello every one. new to this board but some might know me from others. Started ice fishing for the first time just after university when I moved to the High Park area in Toronto. My wife and I would go to Bill's Fish Huts outta Virginia Beach and lay a beatin on the perch. It's what got me hooked on Ice Fishing. Moved outta the Big Smoke 25 years ago and haven't been back to Virginia Beach since. Was thinking of going for Family Day. Two questions. Is there ice and which operator do you recommend going through?

Lots of ice at Virginia Beach stay away from the ferry, heard nothing but good things about Ice Fishing Outfitters out of Virginia Beach, and don't forget Peter runs huts out of Cooks bay www.icecabins.com

Hello from the shores of the beautiful Napanee river. Very happy to be on this website and get some fishing news. I'm retired and enjoy going different places fishing the hard water. Any body out there near me, retired and willing to venture after fish, give me a shout. Always ready to go after walleye, perch, brookies and lakers. Enjoy the New Year!

Hi all , how did u guys manage on cooks today Jan 14th 2017? Peter I was out there today got u coffee, but I did not see u there. I parked at Beach road, was not too happy on the ice, one of my ultra light rods broke at the tip :-(. got 4 small perch, went and tried from 16 feet all the way out to 34 feet and still not much, moved around a lot and drilled a lot of holes. Guess was not my lucky day today. Hope everyone had good and safe day out there.
