Hello. I'm Jim from Milton. Long time reader, 1st time posting. Thanks to all for sharing great info and to Peter for his selfless reports. I was out this past Sunday with my son for the first time in our new portable and had a great time. We didn't find a honey hole but we did have fun catching a few dinks and managed to bring home 4 beauties for the pan. Looking forward to more fishing this 2015 season and reading/sharing on the board!

Hey everyone, my name is Erick and I'm one of the lucky few that lives close to the best lake in the world. I've been swimming and fishing up here since I was a kid. Just started to fish the hard water and find that my best days are those spent on the ice. Just restored my old sled to make the getting there half the fun. Anyone need a fishing/riding partner shoot me a message.

Hello everyone. I'm new to the board. I'm from the Niagara region. I usually get the experience of coming out once a year to do some ice fishing. Cant say I've had the greatest of luck. I'm planning on coming out in a couple of weeks and booking a hut. Any thoughts on where to go? I know it's fishing....... Nothing guaranteed, but I'd love to have a busy day on the ice.

Give our good friend Peter a call and book your hut- he usually does a great job setting you up for some action, and he has bait + a taxi out to your hut

Hello ladies and gents! My names Josh and I'm from Waterloo. Although I fish all over during open water, lady simcoe is a staple every year on my hard water travels. Over the past few years, I almost exclusively fish simcoe in the winter now, but I am just recently discovering the endless opportunities on Cooks bay. I love to catch a nice feed of perch for a little snack. Thanks for the add on CBFB. Looks like tons of good info on here. Tight lines everyone!

Hey, Dave (Crockett) from Guelph..I was a member here a few years ago but sort of faded away and haven't been fishing much. Getting back into it lately and I have a couple friends that have never been ice fishing so I thought I'd try to gather as much info as possible so we can hook up for a day trip. I've never used a hut before..kind of prefer moving around, but because it's their first time, we may go that route. Having a bit of a hard time navigating around this forum, but I'll figure it out. Looking forward to getting out there soon. Cheers.

Hi my name is nick I'm from Wasaga beach me and my twin brother pat are regulars at cooks bay we built our hut this year for cooks bay fishing at gilford we are out usually every weekend you'll see us heading out at the end of 89 where it meets the lake (not sure what it's called there) having fairy good luck this year a couple of days with 50 plus fish caught not too many trophies though biggest one I've seen so far was last Sunday I caught a perch about 11 inches any tips would be apreciated we are in approximately 20-25 feet of water you'll see our hut plywood with a white tarp roof and poly sides by the guy with the wood stove in his hut just at the end of 89 feel free to stop by and give us some pointers haha we are fairly new to fishing through the ice though we have lots more experience in a boat or off shore and can't wait to get out on cooks bay this summer we never knew about the bounty of pike and bass and we usually would head way up north to the French and pickerel river area where we have done very well! we will be out all this long weekend my brother has an account on here to not sure of his name though... Pb fish 30 pound musky on the pickerel river best through the ice was the 11 inch perch haha
