As of now 89 is the way to go , the town doesn't want you using the end of Gilford Rd , they don't want you getting hurt because of that dick with the pump , thay know if you get hurt , there on the hook for there part letting this not a very nice person get away with his negligence .

Yup the town went and f**ked the whole access to cooks bay from gilford a huge rock now sit in between the only 2 polls that were wide enough to get your gear thru so if u go this way and are pulling a sled with your gear u will need to lift it up and over the polls to get bye wow I wat a real piece of shit this town is and a big f**k you to the anglers and fishing community!!

At this time the best thing to do is do nothing , keep using the end of Gilford Rd , fk the town , we can allways get legal help . Get some money together and drag the town thou the ringer . This is something we can all look back at and say , I helped make change to the end of Gilford Rd .

It was sad and a bit frustrating to see the access blocked today. To me it had “Gilford Kkk” written all over it. I love fishing Cooks and not really sure why the folks who live there do such things. The people who put the rock had no balls to do it on the weekend in front of people , rather had to hide and ado it on a weekday when no one was around to do such a shameful thing like this. On a side note - you can still drags a small sled through those pillars.

From what i've heard nobody is sure who put the rock there blocking the access. It may or may not have been the town. Councilor Rob Nicole was a member of this board for a while. If he still is perhaps he could clarify if it was the town and if so what their motive was

It’s a shame the town don’t care about the anglers or the money they spend to enjoy what was put on earth for us to enjoy

Someones not to smart, a snowmobile crashes into that snow covered rock and gets killed. That's entrapment like someone putting a wire over a snowmobile trail .
Murder charge pending, would that be a town council person or the truck driver that dumped it there.

Anyone have access to a backhoe? Park the rock in pump guys driveway.

The town claimed they put the rock there according to an email response to a fisherman regarding the rock in front of the Gilford access. Basically they said we did it, too many people still running there machines through there when it is posted that they are not allowed too. Use Shore Acres access they say.

Does anybody go back and read this forum? The language and stance that is being taken against a resident or the town is very immature. You want that rock moved? I would look at going through the appropriate steps in a civil way. Threats and this entitled attitude is not going to get anything done.
Pick up the phone and phone the town and represent the hundreds of anglers in a respectful way.
Google garbage on simcoe ice? It’s appauling, don’t be another bad apple and smearing the rep of anglers.

According to the blue ice report the pump guy does it to protect his shore line . In the video we see the truck dumping it off . Anyone could have asked if I was a city truck All the guys on machines ruined it. The sign clearly says no atv

It was the town. A disabled fisherman on another board wrote a letter to the town and they replied that they had to install this rock to stop motorized vehicles from entering the access point

People that live there must have none Simcoe was an ice fisherman haven before they moved there. It's like a city slicker moving to the country and complaining about the manure smell. Machines have been driving on Simcoe since I've been born, I don't own a machine, a lot of people that live there do.

This is why I do not go to Innisfil for anything anymore. Almost bought a house in Innisfil and glad I didn’t When you have whiners for neighbours that call the city if the wind changes direction you know this is not the nicest place to live. Good luck with the ridiculous rock. You people need to stand up more instead of crying. If you have a bad apple for a neighbor then make them move. If you don’t want the rock there. Then move it. Canadians need to grow some balls and stand up more for their rights. If this was in the US places I visit , the rock would be gone within an hour and the city would be on high notice. You can count on that. Do nothing and nothing will change. Stay home guys or go elsewhere. Feel bad for Terry and other hut operators just trying to earn a buck. Ontario has become pathetic even without our pretty primeminister moron.
