Well opening weekend we were very success full , First morning , Saturday we had 2 groups of 2 . I got to my spot at 515 am and instantly heard birds gobbling . Got settled in and the action started. Two long beards chased a hen right into my dekes. At 630 am my two clients were on there way home back to bed, I met up with my other guide and his two guys , tried making a game plan , Second spot we got to , after little calling had 3 toms sounds off. Decided which one we wanted to work and off we went. I knew the bird we were working was an old bird. Just by the way he was working. Finally after about an hour and 40 plus gobbles I pulled out a veteran trick that has worked well for me over the years. And pulled the bird into 10 yards . Bang he dropped Sunday morning , I had one client who hadn't been able to fill his tag , so decided to take him to a nice small farm, at 6 am I hear a singal gobble that's it , at 7 am I hear a hen yelping away behind me and before I knew it she pitched out of the tree into the spread, ten seconds later I spot 6 long beards running down the fence row right into my jake deke, literally beat the crap out of my decoy, tried mounting it . And down he went , the other 5 got a pass until this weekend, Enjoy stay dry out there don't let the rain get to ya or your hunt

Great job! Nice birds! Care you share your "veteran trick" with a guy that just started turkey hunting?
