Great pics! How do you cook your goose and do you do a full bird or just the breast? I hunt ducks but there are also tons of geese where I hunt but have been told that Canada geese are not the best eating. Are they wrong?

I have never found a recipe that makes them tast good other than pepperettes , we take all our goose in and get made into pepperettes , taste really good and it's cheap

I think pretty much anything is good in pepperette form:) I'm not a big fan of bear. A roast wrapped in bacon is ok but had some bear pepperettes and they were great. Ate a whole pack on the drive back from the hunt camp. May have to get some geese next season and try it out!

Agreed that the pepperettes mask a lot of the "game" flavour from the bird. The sausages on the other hand don't do as well a job. Although I haven't tried their honey garlic sausages yet. There's a bag waiting for me at work.

One way I found that makes goose taste good is slicing thin put them in BBQ sauce and put on too rack of BBQ cooks slow , takes the game taste away, We shoot alot throughout the year it is easier to just make pepperettes . Everyone will eat them and takes up less room in the freezer ,

All pics of birds are great but.... the 1's flying are photoshopped, Still cool though. I cut my geese breasts into 1inch strips soak in soya sauce an brown sugar. Cook 1min each side on high and take em out. Than I dip em into ranch dressing or tyraki sauce Taste like more. Play safe well done Slaughter flip

Congrats.... defiantly a successful season. I like the picture of the geese in the sky, the outline makes it look like one giant goose.

My grandfather use to boil down some maple sap to kind of a thinner consistency than good syrup, cut goose breasts into 1 inch strips, and soak them in the sweet water over 4 hours. He would then split them into a "v" and hang them on a rack and smoke them for two hours over apple wood in an old smoker made from one of those old round top Frigidare fridges. The old black guy who lived in the bush behind his farm would do up 50 pounds of this type of jerky every year. I remember trying some back about 1970 and it was great. I'm going to give it a go this year if I can find some geese to "volunteer" in the project. LOL!!!
