On Dec 31 at 8:30 my Dad collapsed while we were fishing on Simcoe off of big cedar point in Lefoy. He did not make it. My family would like to thank Troy Martain(trouser on this board) Les Haselton for there efforts with CPR before medical showed up. A big thanks to the Simcoe Fire and EMS for trying to get him back as well. Here is were i need help. There was a Lady that helped as well with CPR and a guy on his sled that pulled him in. I would like to personally thank them for helping us. He has been taking me to LAKE SIMCOE ice fishing since I was a little guy and they were great times with him for 30 plus years. I love I've fishing and the Hamilton crew will be back soon.

I am very sorry for the loss of your dad. We live in the states in Niagara Falls and loved fishing with my dad and great memories. Always wanted him to take me ice fishing but he lost family members fishing and we never had those memories as you described. Pass on those great memories and talk about them daily as I would imagine there are some fun stories. I take the kids up there all the time and now they can pass it on like you can. God bless from the states to you and your family and all the first responders.

So sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. Just remember, he will be there with you every time you step out on that ice. My Grandma told me this when my Grandpa passed away. Gone not forgotten, the lessons he taught and memories you have will last a lifetime. He will smiling down on you. Life is short and by the sounds of it, you and your dad found a way to bond (everyone on this site will probably agree one of the best ways to bond) and that itself is special. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in these hard times.

I am extremely sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family, and all your friends.I know how you are feeling and how you are thinking. I lost my dad a year and a half ago and he was the one who got me out and taught me how to fish and also my fishing buddy and board member Greenie was lost to us 2 years ago which was also hard to get over. Please remember the good days of fishing and family life your dad provided and still celebrate those moments. He is not lost, he will be with you looking over you and helping you everyday of your life so show him you are doing good with the skills he taught you and keep him proud of you. He will see and know. All the best to you.

So sorry for your loss. My Dad passed away 16 years ago and I still think of him all the time. He was a great Dad and loved spending time with all of us.

Sorry to hear of your loss, my Dad introduced me to fishing at a very young age, he passed in November and will also be very missed. We were lucky to have him as long as we did, but it never feels that way-it would have been nice to have him for a lot longer. Stay strong for your family.
