Thanks Flippin!
Ya I'm not gonna sit in the marsh in the morning as I'm sure it will be a busy one down there, I will also be in a field somewhere, currently out scouting right now seeing what I can find for Saturday/Sunday. I may head out to the water in the evening though we will see. Good luck out there.

Talked to two hunters that were just on there way to the south end of the bay , Apparently you cant on the opener use someones else's build from last season . I could see that being a problem . Be safe out there both hunters and fisherman..

Its the way its been forever Peter! If they post their name up in a spot than they are entitled to it! When they 'post'' their name it has to be on a pole with a piece of board with lastname an year! Usually this is done by mid August! And yes if someone builds it than they are entitled to use it for 'opener'' ONLY! Than after that its a first come first in the blind. Small bickering may start but as ''hunters'' the peace is usually very good out there! Only thing is thats dangerous is ppl setting up at 50-70yds out there from the next guy. Thats when ''ACCIDENTS'' happen. Shells can shoot out to 90-100yds easy and when 1 person shoots at a low flying duck.. pellets riddle the boat, blind an in some cases hit the ppl in the blind. Its a 'sad' thing but theres tons of ppl telling 'true' stories of getting hit by pellets! I have had it happen to me and another bud! He wasn't so lucky he had to go to emerg to get the shot out of his cheek! Thats why I refuse to hunt the lake or bay on opener. I got lots of fields around here an its nice to go home knowing it was a great and SAFE day! Play safe ppl and know where your next fellow hunter is before you pull the TRIGGER. flip

Crazy eh!!! Ya that's not my cup of tea either lol..... Field hunts are a lot more work but can also be very rewarding when everything clicks just right, plus the fact that you or your group is usually the only one in the field!

i have had my friends signs taken down bfr right bfr openner and the guys didnt even speak english? and have had guys park in other's guys fields( right in the middle!!!)so they couldn't hunt it and the farmer was going to tow their trucks out and thery come a running to move it, but then u call the cops and ect. way too much drama on opener!!! i have had cops x3 times!!! come driving their cruisers right thru my buddies corn field when were hunting geese and ducks, just to ask to hunt it!!!! ? we tell them where to go!!!! and i have, and other friends, had other issues with farmers saying they cant allow other to hunt their property, cause the cops hunt it and i and others have been threaten by them to let no one else to hunt the property and i hv been approached by them and been told not to come back, or my truck would b ticked and towed!!!! nice guys!!!!!! so i had my 2 cops buddies, write them up, and sent to their divisions warnings of abuse of power. but i don't ever go back to hunt these spots!!! those guys r just nuts!!!!! and i have many other stories!!!! i miss the north and the crown land!!!!! i hv even been pelleted on the south end of simcoe 10+ yrs ago, fishing for perch in the fall by duck hunters, and hv had my decoy's shot twice by jump shooters!!!ect.
