Got a call lastnight saying I didn't have to work today. ;D So I called a bud to see if he wanted to come out turkey hunting. With no hestitaion he was willing an able to come. So we decided that he would pick me up at 415am. We drove 10mins to 1 of our spots, got the decoy out an got comfy for the long wait till daylight. Of course it starts raining! We decided we would tough it out an see what happens, about 15mins of sitting there a doe showed up in the field an starts eating. Than the great sound every Turkeyhunter wants to hear Gobble Gobble Gobble We caught a glimpse of them about 100yds from where we were set up. Within 5mins they were 50yds away but heading into the bush away from us. I grabbed the call an made 3 quick calls an game on. They were heading over... 6 jakes on their way to the decoy! Its raining hard but they kept coming. My bud an I were like ok 1 of us will say ''now'' to shoot. Twice we said now but for 1 reason or another branches tres were in the way, after about 5mins they were in the clear 1 shot each 2 birds down. Man sure is nice when things comes together his turkey weighed 15lbs mine was 18lbs. Perfect for the deepfryer. Now to get a nap an go look for jumbos in the aft.. Good luck to all you hunters out there... flip
