Hello everyone,
We survived the blackflies of Algonquin Park, Canada during our week of camping/fishing and are now in the process of sorting through the GB's of footage we took.
We've put together some of the Channel Catfish footage for starters in the link below. In the next day or two we'll also be posting a timelapse sequence of a dragonfly emerging and some good underwater footage of a snapping turtle who visited daily - both of which were pretty cool to watch. One bonus of an Algonquin adventure in the Spring is that if the fishing is slow there is always something else going on around you. Many moose and eagle sightings - bald and golden, the snakes, bullfrogs and turtles are out and active and the miniature world of insects and spiders is coming to life.
And, of course, at 4:30 every morning a trio of Whippoorwills would start their repetitive calling until sunrise - probably to remind us to take them off the endangered list .....
More footage will follow shortly.
Hope you enjoy

Hi everyone,
The following is a video sampling of the fish we caught during week one of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby including one Chinook just over 25 pounds.
We have also been experimenting with a cannonball camera setup to add to the angles we already have and have included a few rough sequences in this video. The next video to be posted will be just a compilation of the best from those cameras - some cool footage and it's interesting watching the salmon and trout behaviours just prior to the strike.
For those interested, most of our fish during the week came from the balls set at 80, 90 and 100 feet in 100 to 315 FOW and the wire dipseys on the 3 setting back 250'. Predominantly a flasher/fly bite with greens being the most productive and a number taken on spoons, also glow green with dark spots.
Hope you enjoy,

Hi everyone,
The following is a sample of downrigger footage we have taken during this salmon season on Lake Ontario. Most of the footage was shot down 80 to 110 feet which challenges the smaller sensor camera but we're happy with some of the results.
Hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone,
The following is our latest downrigger footage of salmon and trout strikes. Most footage was taken between 60 and 100 feet down over 200 to 320 feet of water. A bit of a challenge for the small sensor camera but the final footage cleaned up reasonable well.
Hope you enjoy!

During a recent fishing trip we collected underwater footage of fish in their natural habitat - not being fished or baited. We were concerned that the size of our camera rig would scare the fish, however, the opposite was true as it attracted walleye, smallmouth bass, redhorse suckers and muskie in good numbers. The cameras were left running for approximately 2 hours in 2 locations, 12 feet of water in a river channel then 4 feet of water in a silty bay. This video shows the muskies that passed the cameras; the walleye, sucker and bass footage will be posted soon.
Hope you enjoy:

We recently spent a few days fishing on the Bay of Quinte for large walleye. This is a brief video showing some of the walleye we caught during one of the outings. While in the Bay we fished with Aaron from Canadian Trophy Fishing Adventures and Mike from Salmon Fishing Charters. Both are very competent, knowledgeable and friendly charter captains. We're looking forward to the ice season and will definitely be paying the Bay of Quinte a visit when it freezes. Part 2 of this walleye video contains footage of a 12 and 15.5 pound walleye. To be posted soon ...
Hope you enjoy!

This video is Part 2 of our Bay of Quinte walleye trip.
Here you'll see numerous fish being caught including one just under 12 pounds as well as a huge 15.5 pound trophy (at the 7:53 mark of the video).
It was an unusually mild December day with a bit of rain in the afternoon and a consistent 'walleye chop' all day. A good bite throughout with all of the popular stick baits producing well. Most fish released with a couple of the smaller ones taken for the table. Hope you enjoy!

We recently completed the following documentary of the Ringwood Fish Culture Station processes after following the efforts of volunteer group from the Metro East Anglers for the past year.
This video, now being shown at the Sportsman Show in Toronto, shows the full process from egg collection to releasing reared salmon and trout back into the tributaries of Lake Ontario.
This should be of interest to all outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy the great Lake Ontario fishery we have today.
Hope you enjoy!
