I think I'm getting cranky Peter but why does anybody ask you to predict that far ahead ? .. poster ... Peter has watched bay along time
All anybody has to do is watch weather and then watch Peter's report in morning The man isn't going to predict. Really Pete is a good man but not God .

Trapper, I wasn't asking Peter personally, I was asking the others on the board...NUM NUTS. I live 15 min away from Gilford. I ALWAYS check before I go out, just wanting a genereal consensus!

Not just that but access is a big deal with the pressure crack and since peter did say he is bringing his huts out well it would make sense to ask him since im sure he isnt hand bombing them all out there LOL

Maybe I shouldn't get cranky but I'm sure you get my point bigdaddyk .You see these kinds of posts before the ice even starts asking folks to look into a crystal ball predicting the future . I'm sorry I took my cranky mood out on you . I should have just skipped over your post .

I'm willing to agree But If you are going straight out to the huts.... go for it. But if you plan on traveling I would be very careful. As I stated before in a post drive to the area you know will be safe. than get off an venture around. Safety 1st ppl. Don't ASSUME nothing. flip

Where is a good spot to park and unload snowmobiles on the Gilford side???Might head up Saturday afternoon to do a few runs on the lake if Fridays report says its good to go.Any particular spot on the lake reccomended as to not disturb the fishermen?I was on the Keswick side last winter but probally will give Gilford a try.

Get there early and you can park in front of the marina. By the time you get back to your truck some one will be parked up your a*@! Try and park at the end, so that if someone does park up on your trailer, it'll cost them a parking ticket. Good luck

I was joy riding on Cooks the last two weekends. Many are riding their ATV and sleds on joy rides.
Most are parking their vehicles and trailers on the ice at the end of 89. Then riding around on their toys.
I might try to tour on ATV (with tracks) from Cooks to Beaverton and back this weekend. Follow other tracks to be sure of ice. Most is tested as long as you don't get too far from land.
