Im pretty sure hunting season is here because I can hear gun shots ,i'm not a hunter so i don't know . seems to a poplar area to bag a bird , now the question is , is there anyone taking advantage of the opportunity that I can see must exist here ?.
Is there guides out there that offer guided hunting in the area im referring ?
If there is not but there can be, im not sure why there’s not , I see a great opportunity .

I use to guide ppl all over coooks bay an east side. I have done it for 15 yrs. The money was right the ppl for most part were great. I gave it up 2 yrs ago because I changed job. Now I don't have the free time to get out there. But if any1 eles is thinking this you better be able to set up, call extremely good, and have land to take these ppl out. As they will want more than just 1 option to just hunt the lake.P.S. I always gave a 100% gaurentee if no birds within 30yds they didn't pay. I couldn't promise they could hit em but I did promise I could put them easily in range. BTW....u better know the lake in the dark, and in the fog. Not good if you can't find your blind you wish to hunt until fog lifts or till it gets light out. Good luck to anyone thinking of doin this for xtra cash. The potential is there to make a few bucks an meet some really good ppl. flip.

Yes Peter to the answer about a lic, Yes every1 in the boat or field must have a valid lic. an complete the safety course. If not you or any1 eles can be charged with harrassment an interferring with wildlife. Unless the person is under 12yrs old can go out to watch. Its really a catch 22, depending on the mnr. If there are no extra guns in the boat, you may get away with it, Its mainly a very thin red line, like if u don't have a fishing lic an u r taking ppl out, theres a xtra rod in the boat theres a real high chance to ''prove'' you were not fishing. Again depends on the mnr that day. Just from what I have learned over the years dealing with Wil Wegman an mnr at the ramp. or even if they come check your boat,,My advise is to call the mnr outta aurora an check into this before yourself or any1 eles decides to do this. flip

Ok let me ask you this, what if I over the winter install some footings for a couple blinds that the guys can use next September , because im not a hunter and am not planning on being one will I still need a licence other then a safe boaters card to ferry the guy’s to the blinds ? Remember im not the hunter, just the guide .

Guiding and hunting ducks is extremely involved, doing it right takes a ton of experience and dedication and learning. Although if you just dropped guys off at a blind and let them do their own decoys and calling, that would be easier, but you couldn't charge much for that. And have a number of different blinds for different wind directions. I'd advise getting your hunting licence and trying it out, its super fun, but warning ver y addictive!
