Do you remember the launch at the end of 89? All sorts of foliage to enjoy when your dropping your boat in to go slam the big one. It was a great place to take some wonderful pictures.. Made a great back drop .................................................................................................... Sadly that’s all gone now… Yes thats grease you see..

someone call the M.O.E. THAT MAY BE A VIOLATION due to the grease washing off into the lake. no differant than pouring oil on it. plus call the town there may be a liability issue, if the town does not act on it and someone gets hurt they can be liable also.

Just keep cutting his signs down and throw them back over the fence after you use it to scrape the grease off the pole, looks like they are just zip tied to the fence. What a total a-hole.

I would think people keep going on his property to fish or whatever,If it was your house and you came home to trespassers what would you do?

Agree that grease is pretty extreme.
To me it looks like someone fed up with fixing damage and cleaning up the mess left by the public.
I had property with a similar situation and the disrespect for private property was absolutely awful.
What is disturbing is that it had to come to this.

You launch your boat , it’s a bit windy , your boat inadvertently drifts in front of the property in question . The owners think thy own the water in front of them , remember there use to be a tree right there reaching out to the water that acted as a barrier so your boat would stop up against it , I use to tie my boat to that tree as I walked up the road to get the trailer . Who do you think cut it down , removed all the bushes and had installed a six foot chine link fence . Who do you think will be sitting on there porch watching your every move ? Remember the grassers as I like to call them called the cops on me for using my lawn tractor to launch my boat , don’t know how many times thy have called the town on me as well , but you know what ? Its all good . My problems from the end of 89 in the summer and Gilford Rd in the winter, you could say I get it from both ends , my problems stem from water front owners that don’t like what I do , thy don’t like that I promote my hood , lets be sure about this , thy don’t want you here . I put myself in there position and say to myself, if I owned waterfront would I want to stop me from promoting Gilford waters ? Your dam right I wouldn't , id have you guys parked at my dock , the joint would be rocking ..

lets be sure about this , thy don’t want you here .... Thing is, the place was busy b4 they purchased the neighboring lot. If'n they didn't like the traffic, they should'a purchased elsewhere.

I am sure there is a good reason for the land owners actions here.. Maybe not the grease...It may be clever but not the smartest move.. He or she probably did not want to spend the money to have that fence put up, But for a moment put yourself in their shoes perhaps? I have seen the mess that so called outdoors men leave at the end of Gilford rd, Also on the lake.. I personally would not want people entering my space without invitation, Leaving there garbage behind.. It could be a liability issue for the land owner...If a person trips and breaks there leg or something while on this property than they could sue the land owner...We have all seen bullsjit lawsuits where some tool walks away with heaps of money.. The fence could purely be to keep there dogs in..Or it could be to stop garbage from blowing into there yard.. Not one person here who has called them a name really has heard there side of the story.. They put up a fence to keep people out of there and it did not work... So they went ahead and got creative with some lubricant.. I give them creativity points...Also the sign is clear keep off fence.. Thats my 2 cents

Wrong, fail…lol.. There was an existing fence with bushes so there was lots of privacy , you figure it out why the bushes were removed , that launch was there a lot longer then the house, you want privacy you put up a fence that blocks what you don’t want to see . In defense of that launch its not so bad , there’s two cans for garbage , there’s many regulars that I know use it and it gets very busy on weekends . This is not a very good representation of that property were talking about but as you can see there was a tree to stop your boat from drifting to the offending area in question. in the summer those vines you see thy added the privacy.

Now a boat can drift in front of that home and yes the guys might even have to touch that fence post . Did the boaters create this situation ? no , therefor i feel no sympathy .

Devils Advocate... Was said tree on land owners property??..If so then they have every right to remove a ugly stump sticking out of their waterfront... It may have been handy for boaters, but it also may have screwed up their view of that area in the lake that I'm sure they pay a hefty amount of taxes to n-joy. No where did I mention privacy...Other then keeping trespassers off their land.. Also the fence that is in that picture looks to be pretty old and overgrown with bushes that look messy.. If these bushes were on their property along with a old crappy fence then again the land owner has every right to remove them to put up his or her nice new clean straight level fence... Furthermore, it is the boat owners responsibility to maintain control of their vessel at all times... It is not the land owners problem that people launch their boats in the wind and can't keep control of them.. Also they have every right to keep said boat owners off their land.. In my opinion, which is clearly different then yours..It looks cleaner...May even increase the property value. So I would not go as far as saying that I am wrong or my previous post was a fail... We just have a different opinion... ...But it's cool you are entitled to yours as I am entitled to mine, its' all about perspective..
