I fished cooks bay 2-3yrs back. We were going for pike in late may but we ended up right in the middle of the carp spawning season so we took advantage of the carp. I can really say the world record carp is in that bay!! I fish for carp down in the GTA (30lb) but the carp in cooks is definitely in the high 40lbs+. The chances of landed a monster in that bay is extremely high. I had one on that took me from one shoreline to the opposite side. Good thing I was in a boat. Swam like bullet non-stop. Almost stripped my reel if it I didn't tighten up the drag. I had 225yrds and watch my line disappear right before my eyes so I had to tighten up. thats when I lost it.

When in season Pike and Bass Perch are fun as well landing a carp is always a good time if you have the right test line..
I do pretty well around the area I m referring to…I like trolling with a little mepps….you’d be surprised at the size of fish you catch with small equipment.

Remember Peter it's not the size of the bait that counts it's how you wiggle your worm LMAO
