It's too bad the OPP can't sit in their car, or in a warm hut, and watch these people and fine them heavily for littering and doing environmental damage. I'd bet they would hand out more tickets doing this than going around giving parking tickets. Don't forget the tax money we would save on their gas!
I keep a plastic bag in the corner of my hut to pick up garbage I come across. It is sickening and disgusting.

Hard to believe the biggest polluters are adults..........no respect for these great resources. Imagine if everyone polluted. Grow up and be responsible ........the saying goes the only thing you should leave in nature is your foot prints. Cheers to the 2 that are responsible ADULTS.

Just be careful what you pick up!!!! Hey guys I know I am very late for this post but I had to share this story. When a buddy and I were out on the ice a couple of weeks ago we too were a little disgusted by the amount of garbage. We actually watched two so-called fishermen walk away and leave garbage not 20 feet away from us. grrr Anyway on our way back we always look for garbage and just through it on the sled until we can dispose of it properly. He noticed a small Tims bag and picked it up. Well it was full of feces and our best guess it was from a human and not a dog. I will admit I was on the ice laughing my A** off but human waste is the worst thing it could have been. We did dispose of it properly so like I said earlier just be carefull because you never know what is being left behind. Oops sorry for the behind pun! G

It take very little thought or effort to pack a big green garbage bag to put your garbage or if desperate. Crap in.No need to crap on the ice and leave it.Thats not only lazy, its disrespectful and pathetic. If your a true angler that respects the environment, you'll pick up after yourself.
