Hi Peter, That could of been me with two of my buddies in my Crestliner. We were in the Holland looking for crappies around 12:00, then around 2:00 we had ended up at Cook's so we dicide to try for perch so we drove around the ice at the bottom of Cook's till we got into 20 feet, found some weeds but didn't find fish. We tried 20', 15' ,10', even into one of the marinas in Gilford but didn't get anything. Ended up going back into the Holland towards Bradford. Never fished the Bradford bridge before...what a zoo about 20 shore anglers standing on some wooden plank and 7 boats jammed under some tight bridges.....oh and 4 noisy trains going by. We ended up becoming one of those boats and managed 3 crappies and a couple of sunfish, before I had to leave. Water temps in Cook's bay was around 36'F - 39'F Found water temps up to 47'F in the Holland River.

We were working the east side of the bay infront of the first marina on the south eastside. Using 1.5" FinS tip with a bit of Gulp, also some small jigginng spoons.
We didn't see any wood in cooks bay. There was two dead head we came across in the river.

That’s where you can access the Holland River in Bradford . it's off the 400 Hwy @ 88 go east 10 miles and your there. You can take the Holland all the way up to Cook’s Bay and beyond.
