I would really like to know what YOU will be doing to save Cook's Bay and Lake Simcoe.
It seems our world famous lake is being attacked from all sides. If it isn't from the cormants or the gobies or the zebra mussels, it's from man made pollution like fertilizers, cans, bottles and garbage.
If that's not enough overdevelopment that sucks the life out of the water supply, and dumps it back in by water treatment and finally last but not least over fishing. Where are all the herring, smelt, pickerel.
So if you have any comments, know of groups that are working on it, know what the municipal government or groups like OFAH are doing I am sure everyone would like to know.

I watched this documentary the other day. If you get a chance to watch it I recommend you do. www.cbc.ca/bigpicture/It is scary how much WASTE we as Canadians are creating. See if you can do your bit or maybe a bit more, every little bit helps. It's all about CO2, carbon dioxide or green house gas. It scares me to think that each household produces 45 tons every year and that a majority of it is absorbed by our water. This absorption creates higher temperature water which is acidic. Enough of it will take out the eco system and then say bye, bye to fishing.
