I've got a couple questions about fishing cooks bay in the summer. What species do you get in Summer? Is it generally calm enough on cooks bay for smaller water craft, like a canoe or kayak? Thanks

In early spring theres large pike. I believe theres also walleye. Which I have lost never landed just once. And the usualperch sunfish. And carp. But in the summer the weeds grow in there so thick most of the fish move deeper thats what happened to us last year. Everything looks great with all the reeds growing but it choaks the bay and all the fish move deeper.
