Hey guys,
It's been ages hope all is well. I haven't been to Gilford in a couple years but I remember things were changing for launching boats or parking, can I still drop my canoe in at the end of the road and park somewhere? I'm not using a trailer. Did they add a parking lot?
Cheers Jason

Parking is 1 block west of the launch.
I believe parking is $25.
I'm told there is a launch fee of $10 now also collected at the machine.

I'm cool with it being free if you're a resident!
Out of towners paying for services that I use is nice.
Stuff isn't free, and appreciate any town paying visitors!
I think if the price of these services we

..:'re cheaper, that more people would use the Shore Acres launch out of convenience.
You must realize local businesses would have a hard time competing with free launch!?

The stupid thing about me saying that it would be hard for local businesses to compete is that one of the local businesses wouldn't let me even do a one time launch for any denomination of currency!
Thankfully Monte Reno out of Lefroy let me do so and let me park with vehicle and trailer all day long if need be.
I'm not slandering a company, just stating what one's policies allowed me to do.

Not paving the launch were talking about but charging a fee would be the responabulty of the Town of Innisfil should you need a tow truck to pull you out out becouse of this neglagent by the town by not making sure you and your boat are safe by using this launch .

I agree with you Pete. For parking still acceptable if they provide parking lot and that fee for all day parking. But for launch the boat, the city should be responsible for the safety all boater to in or out at the boat launch. In Mississauga where I live, also free to launch the boat but you need to pay for park your car and the trailer.
