Just was wondering had the pike action picked up for you guys. For me this has been one of the worst years yet for pike on cooks bay.

I was out on Thursday afternoon. I hooked quite a few. They wanted a bait on the fall, I only hooked one on a spinnerbait. The rest were on a jig and craw, most fish hit on the fall so you had to watch the line carefully and set the hook with any unusual movement of the line. Most of the fish were caught around deep weeds in over 20 feet of water. I hope this helps. MB.

2 were over 10 pounds. I lost one that I did not see, it made two runs like a salmon. It was well over 10 pounds.

I always catch and release. I don't believe in keeping the fish that just ruins the fishing in my opinion. Not to mention I would feel horrible knowing its gonna die. Watching the fish swim away unharmed is actually better than catching the fish to me. I'm not knocking anyone who keeps them, I'm just stating how i feel.
