Hi. I'm testing the waters on renting out my 14.5ft aluminum fishing boat with 55hp outboard and steering wheel that has a bass boat type setup. What I was thinking of doing is you pick up the boat (or i can deliver) and drop it off when your done back at my house.
Not sure how practical this idea is. I wanted to recoup some of the money I put into it. I also don't get out that often fishing so it just sits in my backyard.

I'm not sure what the issue is. I'm not advertising or selling a service. I'm just getting an option that's all.
I only see marinas renting boats and not individuals which is why I'm asking.

We pay $95 a day or $300 a week where we get our boat. That is for a 16 foot boat with 25 h.p.

Just a thought but do you have a plan in place in case there's a breakdown on the water? What about liability insurance for a business to cover your butt? Also need approved renters checklist. What if your boat gets damaged by a renter or stolen? Who pays for repairs/replacement? Good chance you will have to take them to court. If not a registered business recovery of damages may be difficult. For me too many pitfalls in your plan to risk it.
