My bro n I were out at the dam res not far from my hometown of Exeter this afternoon fishing for bass or whatever decided to bite. We're there for a half hour n were greeted by 2 conservation officers checking for licences, had a short conversation with them checked our licences n were on they're way. Nice to see them checking small areas like that(never seen an officer there before n I've been fishing there since I was a young teen). Anyways great day with the bro despite we didn't catch anything, saw a huge snapper swimming around. Tomorrow we r taking the inflatable with the trolling motor to explore the areas accessible by boat only . How was everyone else's day?

We just got back from Rice lake and in 4 days my friend caught a sunfish, perch, rock bass, crappie, white sucker, lg mouth bass, walleye and a musky all on the exact same 1/4 oz, orange jig and a worm.

I always wondered why orange is such a successful colour. Orange Rapala jointed floaters were always super productive for me many years ago with many species. I've just grown tired of using them. An orange jig has never been on my line. I might have to try that.
