Im tired of promoting the park only to see its demise . Pwetere, your posts before clearly states that thousands of people use the park every season and we all know that is really the max it can do without major changes. The park does NOT need promoting, IMHO. With new developments and the race track casino being on Iniisfil soil, looks like we may not really need/want the funds OR the headaches that come with it(?) It sounds kind of "pig-headed" but that, again, is just my humble opinion. ALL the other small beaches, with excellent boat access if wanted are private and they do fine. It seems to be the "mentality" around here, keep your shoreline private....dunno. It really is a nice park and people know that, and I would be a weekend warrior too probably if I did not already live here.

define non resident? i am a resident of ontario and as such feel that i should be afforded the same treatment feewise as an innisfil resident. if i go to a local conservation authority park or launching facility in my city/municipality of residence they don't charge different rates for 'out of towners'. as far as only 'out of towners' generating garbage, leaving a mess behind or creating noise or havoc, the town of innisfil has people monitoring place of residence for all users, good or bad? maybe the mnr should reflect fees based on place of residency so that towns that have this ridiculous policy in place have their residents pay these exorbant fees when hunting or fishing outside their 'place of residence'. if they want to charge out of province fees that's their perogative but lets not forget that outside of property taxes, provincial taxes and their dispersal are not based on town of residency.

Have any of you ever been here on a summer weekend? Have any of you ever walked the park on a Monday morning?
Until you have, and have experienced it is difficult to comment on such things.
Though I do NOT agree with the rates, I DO have to deal with the craziness that happens.

Monday mornings the park should be spotless ,if its not the manger of the park is to blame . No offence Kevin but soulds like the towns droping the ball . Easy fix if you ask me . The park being crazy busy weekends means only one thing , Innisfil Beach Park is the place to be . Come one come all but come early .

Definitely the town is dropping the ball. The crazyness happends every summer weekend in any park be that Innisfil , Toronto or Hamilton , but some look better than others by mid day monday for sure. And my balcony is facing a park where there are cultural gatherings of hundreads every summer weekend. Yes there is loud music and loud folks but the park people come and check every couple of hours. No excuses ...

That's ridiculous all that garbage left on the ground. U as a park employee r gettin paid to service the park, therefore if u r assigned garbage duty that doesn't mean change the garbages. It means remove All the garbage in the park.....Whoever is in charge of the park mite want to take another look at what's goin on

Another thing is why isn't there a lid on the garbage can to prevent garbage from flying around? I was at gilford Rd 4 times this hardwater season n everytime the garbage cans were overflowing with multiple bags beside it. I grew up living in grand bend n have never seen the beach parking littered with garbage like that....the town does their JOB!!! Innisfil get ur head outta ur ass

Don't like those kinds of garbage cans since people are blamed instead of raccoons/possums that get in them FAST after dark. Need proper cans and proper maintenance.

Lets face it although I fully agree with you in this case you are dealing with an "it's all about me" attitude that influences Innisfil council.

The increase in fees and seemingly hostile locals aren't making me want to go there any time soon.. I guess I'll just keep avoiding the place!

That is just the way it is, note this is also after schools are done for summer. Weekdays it is full of locals, walking, and boaters using the launch. There is a bit of garbage at the launch. In fact the barely enforce the rules on weekdays, mainly because they dont have to. The lines of traffic coming in and out are obvious. I agree with your statement, it is not fair to charge such a huge fee to visit and/or launch, but calling a spade a spade, the difference in the park in early mornings is so obvious on weekends compared to weekdays. I am not complaining, in fact I agree with the outrage, just making sure everyone knows the facts as i can give em. The local council has their hands full trying to make this work all around.
