Did I say REALLY!?!?!? Went out this morning to find the access at Glenwoods damaged. I thought to myself it must have been a vehicle for sure. Made it on the ice and sure enough there was a vehicle beside a hut. Can't say for sure it was that one that went on from Glenwoods, but there were no others out there. Rode back from fishing all day to find the access totally chewed up. I had to get off the bay somehow, so ended up bottoming out my 4 wheeler in 4 wheel drive just to barelly make it through. If it wasn't obvious that the shoreline was not thick enough this morning when there was only enough room for toys to get through, I wouldn't be so upset. When you see running water one one side and mud on the other side where it's wide enough for ONLY toys to get on... Need I say more? Thanks for letting me rant. photos.app.goo.gl/fW7sqs48CQavUhg6AX

This is just a guess but perhaps the person who drove their truck out and damaged the entrance did so because of reading reports about how it is good to take machines out from Glenwoods and does not have a snow mobile or 4 x 4 so they used their truck instead.

My neighbour has taken his truck out from there many times. He knows though when to take it and when the shore is not good. As for the reports, toys and vehicles require different ice thickness to support them. I hope people don't take ice reports for toys to be the same as vehicles... That would not be good at all. X

It's a shame some people with a much lower number (I.Q.) will try to follow those with a higher number. You and your neighbor are obviously fine, it's the monkey see monkey do kinda situation. A newbie to the ice or just a plain old dumb ass reads some posts and or sees someone else do it and there you go!!! Wrecked shoreline for all. Why do you think our society has so many asinine rules? To try and protect the smart people from the dumb ones. I have worked in construction for almost 50 years and almost every accident or injury I have seen or had has been caused by a stupid persons actions!!! Please don't get pissed at stupid people. They can't help it, they don't know!!!

Have witnessed my fair share of not very bright individuals putting people in harms way without even realizing.
