Come on folks... Someone must have been out today. Post good, bad or otherwise! XF Heading out to IBP in the morning depending on the weather. Honestly only a dozen or so huts out at the park today. Rain kept everyone inside. I'll be honest... Neighbour said that there is a lot of slush on the Bay today. Didn't bother going out. Got a new toy delivered today (underwater cam) and spent most of the day getting familiar with it. Weather permitting, I'll be out tomorrow scouting again XF

Glenwoods access at around 4:30 PM. Shore had deteriorated but not to the point where you can't walk on the ice. I heard of a report that a 4 wheelers' rear end broke through the ice close to the area. Can not confirm or deny the report. As you can tell from the picture, a lot of water and slush on the ice. Should tighten up in the next couple of days with the colder temps we are getting. photos.app.goo.gl/dqJFQTaWffF9DxYX6XF

Well, got back a few minutes ago from making Cooks Bay look like Swiss cheese. Must have drilled 20 holes today trying to find Whities. Nothing! Oh well, tomorrow is another day.
Ended up fishing for perch for an hour or so at the spot I found last week with BIG Jumbos. Even that spot did not produce any big fish today. I did catch a few though with the biggest one around 9 inches.
All and all, it was an awesome way to spend an afternoon!

Yesterday hit the ice for first time this year. Hiked out between Degrassi and Killarney Beach Marina. About 100 m beyond the permanent huts bottom of a 8’ ledge in 27’. Lots of little guys but also personal record (and group) on the size jumbos. 15 made the walk back with us.
Makes you count down the days until your dropping your line in the water again.

Went out yesterday for 9 hours. Tried to get to whitie grounds but the pressure crack from JP to South-West didn't allow me to get to them.
Went back to my perch marked spot and ended up with 10 keepers (over 8 inches). One measured at 12.
All and all, it was a great day on the Bay! Didn't measure anything less than 7" of black ice other than the new ice forming at the pressure crack (1.5-2 inches). Do NOT try to cross it with a 4 wheeler!!! Seen sled tracks going across it, but they have a much wider base than 4 wheelers do.
Be safe out there!!!
