Just wondering with the temperature fluctuations if anyone has an update on the ice making progress on cooks?

Nothing to walk on on the Keswick side. Looking at the long term forecast, it will be a while...

Went down to the end of Glenwoods Rd tonight on the way home. There is ice as far as I could see (which was about a couple of hundred yards). That is new ice from last night. Not sure how far north it's going. Might have to send up the surveillance drone one Sunday

Is it worth risking your gear and most importantly your life over a few perch? Personally, even though I'm by the lake, I'll wait to see operators huts out there before I venture out... There is already a locals hut out, but that's a gamble I'm not willing to take. Had always listen to Peter for the go. He is not one to compromise people's lives for a few dollars. Just my 2 cents... BTW, the hut is in the east side. Like Peter mentioned, open water and ice do not mix. All it takes is for a good wind to come up and the ice is gone.

Looks like a bunch of people were out today 1.5-3 inches. Pretty crazy if you ask me. Definitely not safe .

Just curious X-Fisher when and why did you decided to 100% go against this very good advice you provided earlier? There are no operators huts out, Peter has yet to declare safe ice for walkers and you are promoting going out on machines!!!

Dude... That was a month ago! Let it go... Operators are booking huts now. If you are trying to prove me wrong. Ok, you are right and I am wrong. Let's move on!

There’s got to be at least 100 permanent huts on Cooks.
