Here's what I've put together; following a few examples I found with good reviews. A Swede-Bore 8", Clam Adapter plate and a Milwaukee 18V "Fuel" drill and 5 amph batteries. Haven't tried it yet (This weekend) but I'll post back on how well or bad it worked. Dan.

I have a Bosch that has 750 lbs of torque. I run a 8 inch Finn bore, with the clam plate. I get about 30 holes on a battery.
It's light, quiet, fast and requires no engine maintenance. Bonus I have a good drill to use in the off season.

I got the kdrill in us Cabela’s 180$ us and the clam adaptor for 60$ us. I also got the 2804-20 but I see it’s half inch shorter than the other models. It is 1200 torque would that half inch make a difference. The clam adaptor seems like it is adjusted good. Didn’t know that I had to buy a clam to krill link pipe.

I don't understand the question sorry, 1200 lbs of torque shoupd be good. Yes I believe the shafts are not compatible

Ok great thanks for the response. And keep the batteries in the hut to keep warm so just drill half wat in ice remove battery and leaving it like that is ok? The wind won’t brake the fins against the ice?
Thanks

The wind won’t brake the fins against the ice? Thanks I don't worry about the cold personally, my drill claimed it worked well in the cold. Main worry is the drill starting up by accident while in the sled! At least put the forward reverse button in the middle to lock it. I have never stored my auger in the ice like that. Wet snow or rain is the only weakness of this setup. I saw a mod on the ice shanty forum where they used an empty bottle of washer fluid and put it over the auger.

Tried to find kdrill to clam plate adaptor but the way I searched it on Sail.ca it didn’t find anything but I went to store and happened to find it by looking at other things, just when I ordered it. Looks like that one has both ends same size and it’s silver color. Sail don’t carry kdrills or clam plates.
