Hi, my wife and I for few years now trying to catch walleye for first time. Fished few lakes pigeon buckhorn, canal, Scugog with no luck. Seen YouTube videos but all are either far northwest or people not saying where. If someone would be willing to share some good walleye lakes in zone 17 around Muskoka area. I’d appreciate that. It’s frustraiting tried many things.

Thanks I’m aware Nipissing has lots, but it’s a little further than I’d like to go. There’s gatta be something closer. Did you rent a hut for few days?

Thanks I heard of the stocking. I just wanted to try a few walleye never ate them. Seen few YouTube videos of catching walleye throughice but no one sharing the location though. Also is it true that once pike enter a lake walleye population declines faster?

Also is it true that once pike enter a lake walleye population declines faster? My nephew spends all his spare time walleye fishing. I was with him at Lake Nipissing 2 weeks ago and he told me that his boat brought home 390 walleye in 1 season!! From Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair, Detroit River and St. Clair River. My son was with him the 1 day on Erie and they caught about 30 and kept their limit of 6. Also I have lived in Hamilton my entire life and no way would I ever eat fish from the bay. Fun to catch but I would put them back!!

Are the walleye migratory or residents in the bay (Hamilton area)? Would be fantastic to have a west-end fishery like they do out at the other end of Lake O. I believe I saw they have stocked walleye into at least one of the tribs in the west-end as well.
Grand River now has ice and walleye bite is hot apparently. See Fishmasters site.

Wayne eating fish from the bay is no worse then working where you do Personal Protective Equipment is available where I work. My personal choice and right to comment on the Bay on feelings about what to eat in Hamilton Waters also. Yee Haw !!!!!! Some things you can survive and some things you can't.
