Zack likes the report. I think he was telling you that and saying let's go fishing now.

Hey Pete I was there Monday afternoon and the portable washroom was locked lol. And one more thing anyone else has minnows close to Guilford rd other than convenience store in Lefroy? Please make a post with recent update on live bait near cooks bay. Cause as it is right now apparently no one in GTA area has minnows. What is up with that?

705-436-3710 Town Of Innisfil 1-888-436-3710 (Toll Free)
If i was an employee of the town and was asked to lock the gate for the season and found a couple cars that if the gate were locked would mean the cars would be locked in with the only way out is by making a call to the town asking for the gate to be unlocked .
Not the best idea locking the gate when its going to be a problem for the guys locked in . thy shouldent be parked there , a parking ticket yes , being locked in no.

Best to call the town and wait . using bolt cutters is not a wise thing to do , might even be illegal .

They should have listened to you Peter when you said an email was sent to the town and you also advised them not to park there or this would happen.....I think they got what they deserved, just my 2 sense

Hey guys I just got off the ice at 830 tonight (28th). In my opinion the shoreline is getting dicey. I went on in the late afternoon for a crappie fish. People were coming off the ice and really had to pick their way off. Folks were remarking how much the shoreline had changed since they went on in the morning/afternoon. One fellow went in just past his knee. There are still ways on/off the ice if you're careful. I suspect with the cold overnight temps, the access could appear deceptively tight and safe. I was planning on taking the kids for one last blast tomorrow but I'm pulling the 'chute. Done for the season. Of course, I'll defer to Peter's judgement call on the shoreline. Time to get the turkey gear out.

Yeah. I agree. Plus with the winds today things shifted a bit and the ice started snapping a little under my feet. Freaky feeling as you can feel the movement a bit. Although 20 inches of ice still today the shoreline at the end of the day can get dicey. I'm not saying it is not safe or otherwise but this was my last outing for the season.

Went out today late around 5:45. I was back in by 7:15 after I caught my limit. Almost half were decent sized jumbos. March has been treating me nice. Heading back out tomorrow morning. Shoreline is definitely dicey. Come prepared to go knee deep. Bringing rope might be a good idea. I could have leaped the pressure crack gap but I had my sled with me. Best one on the day was 14" 1.2lbs, I think thats a personal best. Definitely my best on ice. Will try to get a pic up.
