The cbfb use to host a ice fishing derby on Cook’s Bay , did it for 4 years , lots of good times . The cbfb would be willing to do it again this winter if there’s interest . You guys will have to organize it and will promote the event here on the board , will get some sponsors to contribute some prizes and if your into it a dinner at the local community hall just up from the end of Gilford Rd .

For maximum good times this winter its good to prepare well in advance . Will start with will you participate ? as a participant or a sponsor or a helper as it will require some help for sure , remember the idea is to have the prize table set up in doors with results tabulated and announced over dinner . that might be cool , i know the perfect Caterer to feed us .

I'm in for sure Peter. Never been in a derby before, maybe I'll have beginners luck!
Let me know if you will need help. I'd love to help out. I'll be able to get about 6 other people together.
Keep us posted!
Kevin

Myself and 3 others are down, as long as I don't need to plow during the day that is.... (I could have truck/plow issues that day tho ..... Dinner and all sounds good. I can lend a hand setting up if needed I'm sure...

Community Center in Red just up the road from all the action. You can drive sleds and ATV’s on Innisfil roads if you have the proper paper work like licence and insurance.

For maximum opportunity to hammer some jumbo perch we wait until the morning of to lay out the playing field . it will be based on the area of Cook's Bay were the perch fishing has been productive the week before.. Some wear out there .. You can walk out when that time comes..
