Ok guys here is the long and the short of it. I took a little stroll out onto the ice at the boat ramp. I didn't feel very comfortable since the ice felt shifty. The pressure crack is going to be a problem. It goes across the entire park and down into Cooks Bay. Getting out to deep water will be difficult. Honestly i would give it until next week. The ice didnt feel tight under my feet. You could feel it moving. The pressure crack is stil open and the ice needs to tighten up. The deep freeze this weekend should do that but right now i am recommending to stay off.

Saturday morning. The pressure crack has closed over. I would now give it this weekend to firm up the ice. It felt a little tighter walking on the ice this morning then it did yesterday afternoon. Please stay off and let this deep freeze do its thing. Give it a few more days. If you have that deep water itch BBP is a go. I counted 30 potables out there this morning. Others off of 9th line shoal. The park is still not great due to the pressure crack. Give it a few more days of deep freeze.

$25 a day for non residents Isn't that discrimination Discrimination?? Residents pay for it through yearly taxes.

$25 a day for non residents Isn't that discrimination Discrimination?? Residents pay for it through yearly taxes. Yes discrimination. We pay taxes in Hamilton. Do we get free parking as a resident ?- NO We pay the same as visitors. People who don't drive and live in Inisfill are also ripped off as they have to pay for YOU'RE free parking!!! Is that fair? - NO It's way more than obvious everyone who is a non-resident is discriminated against. The town does it's best to make the area unattractive as possible to visitors while making it very attractive to residence!!

At the end of the day every town is a business for its own people. It’s like buying a fishing license out of province or in the states. 5 times as much for non residents for half the time. Not discrimination just capitalizing off of tourism. Not a new procedure.

These are your words and I think you are right-
"Maybe they’re trying to make innisfil a more desireable place to live "
They are making Innisfil a more desirable place to live by discriminating against visitors!

If and when you go out from IBP please remember to use caution and spud your way out. This area was open just last week and the iced over pressure crack can open up at any time and the ice May not be as thick there. I will report on ice thickness as soon as i can get out of work while its still daylight. Lol hopfully Thursday or Friday. If anybody else has a report from Ibp please post it here.

Here in London's and St Thomas'sat the pay parking lots, the handicap have to pay like anyone else. Victoria Hospital (London) and Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital for sure charge the handicap for parking; parking permit or not. They do get the larger and more convenient spots to park in. It maybe time to pull that log off the fire; all it's doing is creating a lot of unwanted smoke. You want 2 play, you got 2 pay$

I was out yesterday off the 9th, 8"-10" everywhere I dropped a hole. Lots of people are parked on the ice, someone drove their car way out there..... Made me nervous just looking at it.
There is one hut out past the pressure crack off the park, I'm going to head from there tomorrow or Friday morning.

Sorry I meant public parking just an inquiry your right about blowing smoke but with all the comments their should be a better way for the town to handle this

Just came back from checking the ice at IBP on Thursday evening. We have open water at the bottom of the boat ramp. The ice feels soft and the pressure crack can open up at any time. Im not liking what i see. Use at your own risk guys. Sorry i cant give better news. There is 6 inch thick ice but im not liking the feel. The pressure crack and soft ice around the shoreline bothers me.

Saturday Jan 27. The ice looks good at IBP. A good 10 to 12 inches of clear ice. The pressure crack still needs to be considered every time you venture out but it is crossable for the moment. Plenty of sleds and ATV going out from the boat ramp. Good luck guys and stay safe. Oh and you will definitely needs cleats. There is not much snow cover. Glare ice.
