I was up that way from St.Catharines a few years ago for some ice fishing with my son. I am looking to come up possibly Friday again as it is my son’s 14th birthday and it is his favourite thing to do. We have all the gear, including a nice hut, I am just looking for some advice on where to purchase minnows, where to park and where to set up. Haha. Sounds like a lot. Are there any guides that could help out? We had a buddy that took us last time. But it was many years ago.

Hi rlft, there is general store up the road on gilford road in the post office/ convenience store? As for fishing I’d park somewhere in the shore acres dr or gilford road you can also go more north like 2 nd Line. You’d head out like 1 km from 2nd Line to about 40fow, if you park gilford or shore acres you’d have to walk like 1.5 km go to around 35fow or so. That depth u can also get trout , white fish, herring, and perch
