Well guys its been a couple days now that in the morning there’s frost on the ground , the water is the ditches is icedover , that’s a big indictor it will be a normal ice over winter , putting you on safe ice before the end of the year .There are many factors that could come into play and change that as well making safe ice on Cooks Bay late for you to ice fish. As you know ice reports start December 1st and every day until the bays ready for your arrival.
Regardless of how long it takes for safe ice , its going to be a great ice fishing season..

Thank you Peter. Your ice reports I watch everyday at work lol Love knowing how things are coming along up there.
I have a bad feeling it's going to be a late start this season but who knows anymore these days.
Thanks again

Theres no way the cbfb would have a first safe ice contest if i wasent out there every day ,this is not a game were playing here like on other boards i have seen , this is about keeping you safe and not going ice fishing before the ice is ready , you stay home untill the cbfb gives the all clear , let me do the testing , safer that way .

Thank you for the kind words , i feel pretty good , i like to do the videos as well but hate showing open water in the winter , first couple weeks its hard to find things to talk and show you as everyone including me wants to see ice , the thicker the better .

Except for Tuesday and Wednesday this week, they are predicting overnight temperatures around the freezing point. Let's keep our fingers crossed. I have 3 weeks off starting Dec 16th. i'd love to get out some time then.
